Celebrating Unions in Union
Published February 2025
Union Square has arguably always been for lovers, but Jusmine Martin certainly brought the romance up a notch when she opened Dearly Studio. Seeing first-hand the everyday love that flows through the Square, Jusmine started cementing couples’ vows at Dearly Studio in June 2023.
Tell us a little bit about Dearly!
Dearly Studio is a secular micro-wedding chapel and small event space. We offer an alternative to courthouse weddings that are bespoke, elegant, and fun.
What inspired you to start a business? How did this feeling grow once you actually started your business?
I worked at Rebel Rebel, where I pitched and planned a Vegas-style wedding day for Pride in 2022. It was the single best day of work I had ever had, and so I spent the next year plotting how to turn this seed of an idea into something more permanent.
I can say with confidence that Dearly Studio wouldn't exist to its fullest potential without the opportunities at Bow Market. Since launching Dearly I've been continually and creatively inspired - running a small business is really like nothing else.
What aspect of your business makes you most proud to be a business leader in our community?
I'm especially proud of the community surrounding our little business. We regularly host events and pop ups, so while lots of people associate Dearly Studio with their wedding, plenty of other folks just know it as a cozy spot to take a writing workshop, or celebrate a birthday, or take a goofy photobooth picture.
How do you #LoveUnionSquare?
With all my heart! ❤️
If you were to plan the perfect outing in Union Square, where would you go and what would you do?
I would go to the Union Square Farmers Market, followed by brunch at Juliet, shopping around Bow, and a quick beer at Remnant Brewing. Cap off the day with dinner at Field & Vine or takeout sushi from Ebi Sushi (that crazy maki roll!)
Alternatively: The entire day is made up of little handheld snacks and I take my dog to the dog park. Particularly Buenas, maca, that earl grey scone from Juliet, a taco each from Taquisimo and BARRA, and the shrimp toast at june bug.
Dearly Studio is located on the second floor of Bow Market, in Suite #18. Fall in love with all things Dearly on their Instagram page.
